In Blogs

I have tried in the past to be as positive and supportive in my posts as I could.

This unfortunately will not be a pleasant blog post.

Read further at your own risk, for I am about to vent…

“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.”
–Anne Bradstreet

These are ominous times indeed. The above quote brings new meaning to truth and reality.

We have just watched a non-democratic system (vote blocking) and a Constitution designed to stop a demagog (via the Electoral College) fail to do its job, thus a man baby with twitter fingers will acquire the highest office in the land while losing the popular vote (of those who voted) by a considerable amount. He will have no mandate, but will destroy all gleefully with spite, while playing to weaker peoples fears. His party will control all areas of government and they will do decades more harm than they know.

Oh well, so it goes… It was good while it lasted.

This very sad situation is even more deplorable as the swamp this orange clown said he would drain will become more thick with thieves who deny science and the overwhelming reality of man made climate warming. Why? All in the hunt for the new religion of greed.

Which brings us back to Winter, more specifically, soon not having it. As we burn more fossil fuels, we will warm the planet even more, likely beyond the point of no return. Many say, we are to close already, but no doubt this fascist government will push us beyond hope of return.

This is our new world in the making, and a heavy price will be paid by all.

Springs and Falls will be longer, Winter will likely decline until it is no more, and longer Summers with extended periods of humidity and drought will surely be the norm for our world. Ah, but the baron’s of Oil and Greed will do their deeds, their prosperity will surely grow until there is no more left to be stollen from the people or the earth.

As the polar vortex continues to become dislodged, winter will soon disappear and the jet streams will break down. Weather will become more and more unpredictable, this will effect prosperity as adverse times will become our way of life. Food production, water, life itself requires predicability. Predicability will be no more. All because we chose not to head the dire warning of our scientific communities and picked greed over difficult decisions. Idiocracy!

You see, 3 out of 4 eligible voters in this nation chose to either not participate (didn’t vote) or believed a con man to be righteous.

PT Barnum was right. Unfortunately, this time, we will all pay the price.

Oh well, so it goes.

Brace yourself, it is going to be a very bumpy ride.

Perhaps some day this ignorant majority will recognize that this ‘choice’ of theirs was an unmitigated disaster for life on this planet and will come to appreciate what we once had.

Perhaps science will find a way to reverse and stabilize the planets weather. I’m not holding my breath. As this raises the issue of unintended consequences. What could possibly go wrong…

What we do know is that no amount of prayers or belief in a savior will remedy the consequences that this cabal of oilmen, con men, haters and science deniers will reap upon us all. Stability will be replaced with uncertainty, real fear will grow, and fools will continue to live in denial until their world too falls apart.

Oh well, so it goes.

Perhaps future generations, if they survive, will look to appreciate what mankind had, and work to bring it back, making it welcome once again… Perhaps, in time. Perhaps.

Good luck to all, we are going to need it.
